まず最初に、

ぜひぜひ、次回からは、こちらを御ひいきにしてね』

という、航空会社が、上質なお客を争奪のための手段。

航空会社だけでなく、ホテルでもこのステータスマッチは行われております。

そんなシステムを利用し、ANA解脱僧や

Delta AMEX カードインスタント上級会員にオススメなのが、

LCCながらOneworld加盟航空会社である、エアベルリンとのステータスマッチ。

『有効会員証をEメールで送る』といういたって簡単な方法ながら、

エアベルリン上級会員 = Oneworldサファイヤ会員として迎え入れてもらえる、

修行僧にはもってこいの、この裏技。(4ヶ月という制限アリ)

が、裏技ながら、有名になりすぎたのか、今回ちょっとした改悪が・・・。

との悲しい返答

『混み合ってるから、連絡遅くなるかも』のメールの直後、

『ステータスマッチには、2-4週間以内に搭乗する便の予約番号が必要』

との予想外な返答メールに、激しく動揺。

ステータスマッチの夢も、憧れのサクララウンジもここまでか・・・とあきらめかけましたが、

『予約番号が必要ならば、実際に予約をすれば良いのではないか？』という悪知恵発動。

早速、Airberlinの便を予約。

ありがたいことに、LCCのAirberlin。片道から航空券の予約が可能&なかなかの安価。

キャンセルすることを前提に予約したので、人様に迷惑のかからない路線&時間帯を選択。

その結果、デュッセルドルフからハンブルク行き、6:45分発という、早朝便に決定。

税金もろもろ含め、48,04EURO、日本円にして、￥6,866。

こちら、最安値なためキャンセル不可。

キャンセル可能なプランもありましたが、タダでこのようなサービスを受けるのが忍びなく、

あえての約7000円、お支払い。

これでステータスマッチ不可だった場合、勉強料としよう、と我ながら潔い決断。

■ リクエストを検討した結果、4ヶ月限定でtopbonus Gold statusとして迎え入れますけど、いかが？との嬉しい返答

Airberlinのサイトでは、便の予約はできるものの、キャンセルはできないので、

『申し訳ないのですが、便をキャンセルしたい・・・』とメール。

ステータスマッチをお願いした メールアドレスと同一なので、

ステータスマッチをキャンセルされないかハラハラしましたが、特に問題なくキャンセル完了。

結果

添付されていたPDFだけで、JALでOneworld サファイヤをしての扱いを受けられたか・・・

はい、問題なくサクララウンジにも初潜入できました。
